who do I work with?

Clients who come to me for coaching feel stuck. They often are walking around inside their own heads, unable to move forward in their lives. They have developed unhealthy mental and physical habits, make poor decisions, or display behaviors that are a reflection of the chaos swirling around them. They even have toxicity plaguing their life and work.

I work with grief, loss, trauma, narcissistic and toxic relationship recovery, toxic work environment recovery, life and career change and transition.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

I am a military veteran who has experienced the transition from a life in the service to the civilian life and workforce. I have clinical psychology education, 4 years working in behavioral health as an intern counselor for a regional mental health care facility, an end of life caretaker for the aging, as an apprentice occupational therapist to the developmentally disabled. I also have an 8-year career in agencies, non-profits, colleges, high schools, and major corporations career coaching, life-skills teaching, and peer mentoring.

My experience is vast, from being a corporate trainer, creating behavior-based relationship-building programs to teaching at-risk high school youth to guide senior college students to advising community colleges on a curriculum to being a project manager for a global private equity firm executing messaging, marketing, and growth.

My clients have included Robert Half, Conde’ Nast, Google, Citibank, and Facebook. I spent almost a decade of building and developing individuals and teams as well as improving processes in human capital and employee relations.

My hope is to help you find your way through life so you can cultivate joy and build harmony. I want you to make the transition from just surviving to thriving.

COACHING APPROACH

Coaching sessions are about change and transformation. It is a collaborative process led by you, the client. We start by accessing where you are now. We take an inventory of your attitudes and behaviors towards self and daily living. We explore your passions, your hobbies, and your purpose. Next, we discover where you want to be, what your ideal life would look like. Finally, we answer the question of what is standing in your way and break down those roadblocks.

I am your guide. I use creative tools including storytelling, visualization, hands-on projects to keep you energized, holistic tools such as meditation and rituals to help you stay present, and practical strategies for goal setting and accountability. Evidence-based and solution-focused, I help you write a new self-story about joy and harmony in your life and work.

Change isn’t easy, but I am here to support you along the way. I come to you with an open heart and open mind. I will walk beside you, hold space for you, and support you. I am not a therapist. Although therapy is a wonderful and may be used alongside coaching, therapy is about the past. We focus on the present, where you want to be, and what is getting in your way.

I am honored you have chosen to reach out to me for help. I offer a complimentary 30 minute call where you can ask questions. Together we will explore if coaching is the right fit for you.
